Robert Adams practices primarily in the area of litigation, concentrating in business and commercial litigation, in both New Jersey and New York Federal and State Courts. Mr. Adams also has experience in the arbitration and mediation of disputes. He represents a wide variety of clients, from large corporations to individuals. Mr. Adams also counsels clients in employment and general business matters.
Mr. Adams also practices in the area of entertainment law, specifically the music industry. He represents and provides counsel and guidance to artists in various matters, such as, the review and negotiation of recording contracts, as well as other agreements and issues facing artists. Mr. Adams also represents promoters and investors with, among other things, events, pay-per-view, video-on-demand and license agreements, and guidance in the area of financing for entertainment ventures.
Mr. Adams is a graduate of Boston University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Western New England College School of Law.
Mr. Adams is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York. Mr. Adams is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts where he is a mediator in the MediateArt program.
