Areas of Experience:

Bruce Turkle is a partner in the Litigation Department of Phillips Nizer LLP.  Mr. Turkle began his law career in the New York City Law Department where he represented municipal agencies in wide-ranging civil litigations and provided counsel in areas of social policy.  In private  practice since 1987, Mr. Turkle has concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation and arbitration.  He has litigated complex cases in both federal and state court involving licensing,  employment discrimination, restrictive covenants, insurance law, municipal law, auditors’ liability, intellectual property, licensing agreements, and professional liability.

Mr. Turkle has been a guest speaker before various organizations and had authored several articles, including:

Mr. Turkle serves on the Executive Committee of the New York American Inn of Court and as a member of the Entertainment Committee of the New York City Bar Association.  He has also served as a member of the City Bar Association’s Young Lawyers' Committee and Committee on Bioethical Issues.  Mr. Turkle is also a  member of  the Federal Bar Council and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Turkle graduated from American University, cum laude, with a B.A. in history in 1977 and received a Master’s degree in history from the Maxwell School of Citizenship at Syracuse University in 1979.  He received his J.D. from New York Law School, cum laude, in 1984, where he was Notes and Comments Editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Law.
