Morton Freilicher concentrates his practice in the field of Trust and Estates. He has extensive experience in the field of estate planning, including the drafting of wills, trust agreements, and related instruments and the counseling of clients in connection with gifts during life and a variety of other dispositions designed to reduce taxes and solve other problems in the area. He has handled the administration of many estates, trusts, and guardianships, and he has represented a number of major banks in this connection. Mr. Freilicher has been active in virtually all types of proceedings in the Surrogate's Court, including contested matters, such as will disputes and contested accountings. Mr. Freilicher was Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University Law School, where he taught the course in Wills and Estates.Mr. Freilicher is the author of Estate Planning Handbook - With Forms, published by Prentice-Hall, and he was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Estate Planning and Taxation, produced by Garland Publishing. He is a member of the Bar Association of the City of New York, having served on its Trusts, Estates, and Surrogate's Court Committee, a member of the Estate Planning Committee of the New York State Bar Association, and a member of the American Bar Association. Mr. Freilicher is a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel. He is the author of numerous articles on a variety of topics in the Trusts and Estates field, and he has lectured before many groups, including, among others, the Bar Association of the City of New York and the Surrogate's Court Association of New York State.
