Phillips Nizer LLP White Collar Criminal Defense practice chair Ilene Jaroslaw will be moderating a panel on "Internal Investigations on the Cutting Edge: Perspectives From The Front" on Thursday, August 8 at 4 p.m. at the 2019 Annual Meeting of the American Bar Association in San Francisco.
As corporations look to avoid regulatory and criminal punishment for potential misdeeds, internal investigations have become a critical tool to preemptively uncover wrongdoing and to proactively offer cooperation when a governmental action commences.
Ms. Jaroslaw is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, where she held numerous leadership positions, investigated hundreds of cases, tried dozens of cases to verdict, and argued 30 appeals in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
