Elliot J. Wiener Joins Phillips Nizer's Matrimonial Law Practice
NEW YORK -- The New York law firm of Phillips Nizer LLP announced the addition of
Elliot J. Wiener to their Matrimonial Law practice as a partner. A recognized and accomplished litigator for over 25 years, Mr. Wiener concentrates his practice in the areas of divorce, custody/visitation, support and related matters, and international and domestic adoption proceedings. He has extensive experience representing parents in child neglect and abuse proceedings, and has successfully defended individuals charged with child sexual abuse and allegations of Shaken Baby Syndrome.
Mr. Wiener is a member of the Executive Committee of the Interdisciplinary Forum on Mental Health and Family Law, and is co-chairman of PEACE/NYC. He is a member of a Matrimonial and Legislation Subcommittees of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and is the Subcommittees delegate to the Interdisciplinary Forum on Mental Health and Family Law. Mr. Wiener is also a member of the Matrimonial Section of the New York County Lawyers Association, and a member of the New York State Bar Associations Family Law Section.
Mr. Wiener received his law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, and his Bachelors degree, magna cum laude, from Boston University. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York and the District of Columbia.
