PHILLIPS NIZER EXPANDS LITIGATION PRACTICE WITH THREE ATTORNEYS
David A. Pellegrino joins as a partner in the New York City office;
Two associates also join the department in the New York City and Hackensack offices
Phillips Nizer LLP is pleased to announce that David A. Pellegrino has joined the Litigation Department as a partner. He will also be a member of the Real Estate Department. Mr. Pellegrino will continue to focus his practice in complex real estate related litigation and arbitration representing lenders, borrowers, developers, boards and agents. He will reside in the firm’s New York City office.
“With the general increase of real estate litigation we are seeing, David joins us at the right time,” said Perry S. Galler, Phillips Nizer’s managing partner. “His wide-range of experience in real estate matters and proficiency in handling the complexities related to developers and partnerships, foreclosures, distressed real estate, partitions and condo contracts, adds even more strength to our already robust real estate and litigation teams. What he also brings to the table is a resourcefulness to achieve the most advantageous outcome for our clients in the most cost-effective ways—a value that has been intrinsic to Phillips Nizer since our firm’s inception.”
Mr. Pellegrino is a co-author of the chapter ‘Commercial Real Estate Litigation’ featured in the acclaimed treatise, Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts published by Thomson West and the New York County Lawyers’ Association (3d, 2010). He earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law (J.D., 1990) and his Bachelor’s degree (B.A., 1987) from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
In addition to Mr. Pellegrino, two associates have joined the Litigation Department:
Carl D. LeSueur, who worked extensively with Mr. Pellegrino at their prior firm, will reside in the New York City office where he will continue practice in complex real estate and commercial litigation. Mr. LeSueur earned his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School (J.D., 2004) where he was a member of the Law Review and Articles Editor of the Legal Forum, and his Bachelor’s degree (B.A., 2000) in Political Science from Brigham Young University.
Kathryn C. Tondel will split her time between the Hackensack and New York City offices, continuing a general litigation practice, having successfully litigated labor and employment, professional liability, contract disputes and premises liability. Ms. Tondel earned her law degree from Brooklyn Law School (J.D., 2006).
