Athena M. Mihalos, an associate at Phillips Nizer LLP, is a matrimonial law practitioner. Her practice is devoted to all areas of matrimonial and family law before New York trial and appellate courts. Athena has handled complex disputes involving divorce, equitable distribution of business and financial assets, custody, visitation, child and spousal support, and represents clients in negotiating prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
She is a past editor of the New York Domestic Relations Reporter, published by Matthew Bender. As a Barrister of the New York Family Law American Inn of Court, she has participated in speaking engagements, including “Sex, Money & Work – Ethical Dilemmas” and “The O’Brien Era”. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association Section of Family Law, the American Bar Association Section of Family Law and the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association. She is also active in various civic associations.
