Elliot J. Wiener Chairs the firm's New York Matrimonial & Family Law Department.  A Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers with more than 40 years of experience practicing family law, he concentrates his practice in the areas of matrimonial and family law including divorce, custody/visitation, support, and related matters.  He has a particular interest in child custody and visitation issues and in trial work.

Mr. Wiener is also a trained mediator and has been selected by other matrimonial attorneys to act as the mediator and the Neutral Evaluator in numerous cases in New York County.  He is also trained in collaborative law.  Mr. Wiener has a broad range of experience in family law having been the attorney for hundreds of children in proceedings which span the entire range of family law.  He has also successfully defended parents falsely accused of “shaken baby syndrome”.
