Evan Spelfogel participated in teaching NYS Commercial Mediation training at the Fordham Law School
6/10/2026On May 19 - 21, Evan Spelfogel chaired and assisted well-known mediator Simeon Baum teaching the first three days of the New York State Bar Association’s Part 146-approved, 5-day Commercial Mediation training at the Fordham Law School.
The program is designed to provide new mediators with the essential learning and qualifications required to be considered for federal and state court mediation panels in New York State.
Evan not only provided valuable insights, but filled in for missing participants during the role-plays. The Hon. James E. d'Auguste, Judge for Commercial Division, New York County, delivered the program's kick-off remarks. Coleen Chin, Regional ADR Coordinator for the NYC Courts, provided a comprehensive description of ADR activities and opportunities in the New York State courts.
On June 9th and 10th Simeon, Evan and the State Bar presented the second program part, two days of advanced mediation training.
