New York Law Firm Phillips Nizer Adds Commercial Litigator Mark M. Elliott To Its Litigation Department

New York, NY – Phillips Nizer LLP is pleased to welcome Mark M. Elliott as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department. Mr. Elliott is a veteran litigator who has handled a number of high-profile and complex matters relating to entities such as Enron, Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities, the City of Detroit, the County of Westchester (New York), Delta Air Lines and LandAmerica. Mr. Elliott focuses his practice on creditors’ rights, director and officer liability, antitrust, bankruptcy, trade secrets and contract disputes. Prior to joining Phillips Nizer, he was a partner at Bingham McCutchen LLP for 15 years, and he began his career at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.

Mr. Elliott serves as chairman of the City of White Plains Board of Ethics in Westchester County, New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the City Bar of New York, the Westchester County Bar Association and the Lawyers’ Committee of Inner-City Scholarship Fund.
A graduate of Yale Law School with a J.D. (’90) and Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa (’87), Mr. Elliott is admitted to practice in New York, the U.S. District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second, Third and Ninth Circuits.
