Phillips Nizer Welcomes Natsayi Mawere to Its Litigation and Intellectual Property Practices
06/17/2026New York, NY — June 2026 — Phillips Nizer is pleased to announce that Natsayi Mawere has joined the firm as a Partner in its Litigation and Intellectual Property Practices.
Natsayi focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, with a particular concentration in the luxury, fashion, and financial sectors. She represents clients in a business disputes including trademark and trade dress matters, consumer protection and consumer fraud claims, lender liability disputes, contractual controversies, garnishments, and other discovery-intensive litigation.
With extensive experience managing all phases of litigation in state and federal courts, Natsayi has successfully guided clients from the earliest stages of a dispute through resolution. Her experience includes developing litigation strategy, preparing pleadings, overseeing discovery, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, handling dispositive motions, and managing trial preparation and appellate briefing.

She serves on the Junior Board of the Coalition for the Homeless, the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization serving homeless men, women, and children in New York City. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the First Step Job Training Program, a program within the Coalition that provides homeless and low-income women in New York City with job training, mentorship, social support, and professional experience to help them achieve economic independence. In addition, she serves on the Board of Freedom for All, an organization dedicated to combating global human trafficking, forced labor, child labor, and sex trafficking.
