Evan J. Spelfogel Leads Commercial Mediation Training at Fordham Law

05/28/2025
On May 20–22, Phillips Nizer Senior Counsel Evan J. Spelfogel co-chaired and assisted in teaching a three-day Commercial Mediation Training Program at Fordham University School of Law. The course, chaired and taught by Mr. Spelfogel with prominent mediator Simeon H. Baum, was co-sponsored by Fordham Law and the Dispute Resolution Section of the New York State Bar Association.

The program is approved under Part 146 of the Rules of the New York State Chief Administrative Judge and provided 24 MCLE credits toward the 40-credit requirement for mediators seeking inclusion on state and federal court mediation rosters in New York.

Mr. Spelfogel will return on June 10–11 to work with Mr. Baum in teaching the advanced two-day segment, completing the full 40-credit training curriculum for aspiring court-approved mediators.
