Elizabeth Adinolfi Quoted in Us Weekly and Perez Hilton on Conservatorship Standards
03/24/2026Elizabeth Adinolfi, who leads the firm’s Guardianship Practice, was recently quoted in Us Weekly and Perez Hilton in articles discussing Britney Spears and the concern that she could be placed under conservatorship again.
In Us Weekly, Adinolfi explained that family members or concerned friends “could petition the court at any time if they believe someone who was released from a conservatorship subsequently declines to the point where they meet the legal standard for imposing [one again]”.
However, Adinolfi emphasized that “the behaviors need[ed] to meet this standard go beyond merely making bad decisions” and, even with an isolated DUI conviction, a second conservatorship “seems unlikely”.
Perez Hilton, reporting on the US Weekly article, quoted Adinolfi when making the point that there is a high standard for a court to put someone under conservatorship, that “they can’t just give her one based off her ‘bad decisions.”
Adinolfi was not involved in the matters discussed in either article.
